AUSA’s history dates back to 1956 when three friends founded a microcar factory. From that day on, our history has been characterized by the pursuit of quality and innovation in all products we have launched to the market.
2012 - Launch of TAURULIFT
The latest models of the most complete range of market Taurulift up 3TN are launched. These models T 144 T 235 H and H
2012 - Establishment of subsidiaries in Brazil and Mexico.
To increase the presence in these countries with significant GDP growth
2011 - MBW 200 H platform is launched to the market
Achieving a contract to supply 13 B 200 H sweeper to the Amsterdam City Council
2010 - AUSA, Great Place to Work
AUSA has been chosen for the fifth consecutive year as one of the best companies to work in Spain, selected in the Best Place to Work. This is confirmed by the Great Place to Work Institute ®, an international research consultancy and HR management.
2009 - AUSA won Barcelona's City Counclil tender for sweepers
Together with the Generalitat de Catalunya tender for municipalities with less that 5,000 inhabitants
2008/2009 - The first vacuum sweepers are launched to the market
This is the B 300 H model with a 3 cu. m. capacity
2008 - Full range of dump trucks with the 10tn.
And launches to the market the first 2 Taurulift models (T 204 T 276 H and H)
2006 - AUSA is 50 years old
The unconditional support of the Crown to the national industrial structure reflected the September 6, 2006 during his visit to AUSA facilities in the year of the 50th birthday of the company.
2004 - AUSA recieves the Award to Technological Innovation
Is the highest honor for a company granted by the Generalitat of Catalonia
2000 - Creation and launch of all-terrain forklift
AUSA has created the new concept of compact all-terrain forklifts receiving the highest honors in the fairs of EDS (UK) and Smopyc (Zaragoza)
1995 - New production organization
Introduction of the concept "lean manufacture" through "Kawasaki Production System" to improve flexibility and reduce delivery times to customers.
1993 - AUSA opens a subsidiary in Chine
It was a joint venture with a state-owned China to manufacture cars in the Asian giant.
1988 - COMEL, an export effort
To compete in one of the most experienced markets in dumpers, with part of the traditional competition AUSA, establishing the subsidiary Commercial & Mechanical Ltd. (Comel) based in Rochdale (UK)
1982 - The first Multiservice vehicles
In 1982 the first hit the market focused multifunctional vehicles to different types of service such as municipalities or agriculture. The first model produced was the DV15, built on the basis of a dumper senior
1980 - 25,000 dumper is manufactured
The dumper number 25,000 leaves the factory . The photograph shows the staff the day May 17, 1980 with the first and last dumper produced by that date (25,000)
1973 - AUSA moves
Due to the need for more production space to support the AUSA great expansion in the 60 in 1973 moved to current "Fabrica del Guix". On the outskirts of Manresa, this space of 15.000m2 made possible to organize the production system and scale to the needs that the market demanded.
1971 - The first AUSA Forklift: CE800
The first forklift model built in 1971, the EC 800, was designed and produced in Manresa because the palletized goods began to have a lot of penetration in France.
1969 - The outward expansion
In the late 60's, AUSA internationalization process begins by opening the French subsidiary SAVU (Societe Anonyme de Véhicules Utilitaires) to Perpignan.
1961 - The first AUSA Dumper.
The first dumper that AUSA made in the new stage of the company was a tricycle. The own designed engine and the transmission of PTV was adapted.
1959 - Top PTV production
The year 1959 represents the record of units produced of the PTV before the SEAT 600 and the large scale production at AUSA forced to reinvent itself in the industrial machinery sector
1956 - PTV is born
In 1956, there was the germ of the idea to develop a microcar in series that led to the union of four entrepreneurs who shaped the idea. Guillem and Antoni Tachó provided technical expertise, strong Maurici Perramón Josep Vila entrepreneurship and business experience to found the May 4, 1956 Cars Utility Company, Inc. (AUSA). From initial brand names arises PTV.
