From 13th till 15th November Bamag Maschinen AG celebrated its 15th Anniversary, organizing an event in which all customers and suppliers were invited, in which more than 130 attendees participated in the Jubilee supper.
Bamag was founded by Mr. Ruedi Meier in 1999, and soon after it took over the importation of Hyundai Construction Maschines, Kalmar and Nissan forklifts for Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In 2006 Ausa and Bamag signed an importation agreement, which set up the milestone for a future growth in the region.
Mr. Josep Soler, Ausa DACH & Benelux responsible points out: “finding the correct importer is not easy task, and in particular in this case it took us a few months of tough research to find the correct partner, which was suitable to bear the responsibility to import Ausa products in Switzerland. But now looking backwards, we can affirm that Bamag has been the correct choice. Right now our Swiss market position is stronger than ever before, and the success of this tandem, Ausa – Bamag, has been based on a wide product range, reliable service, properly marketing and commercial strategies, and adapting the product to the Swiss demands, which are radically different to those ones that we find in other European markets. Besides that I foresee that in the near future, we will also be able to reinforce our market share in telehandlers, due to a new strategy that will be developed in 2.015”.
Switzerland is a big market for dumpers, and although Bamag was not been present in it till 2006, Ausa dumpers have achieved a remarkable market position, thanks to Bamag. As Mr. Ruedi Meier comments: “in 2006 we were not present in the Swiss dumper market, our main customers were builders and earth moving companies, but since then the Swiss market has evolved a lot, shifting from 2,5tn to mainly bigger dumpers, where we are able to outstand a noticeable market share, thanks to the powerful Ausa dumpers, which are beating our competitors in performance”.
